Whether you're new to the letting industry, or have been working in the sector for some time, the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) are holding training courses to help.

The Scottish Letting & Property Management – Part A course is aimed at those with little or no experience of the letting industry. It aims to give a basic understanding of the legal concepts which underlie the letting of property. It focuses on the most important things which an agency needs to focus on in order to help their landlord avoid committing criminal offences or indeed falling foul of the law themselves. How to keep tenants safe, protect their rights and yet ensure they meet their obligations.

The Scottish Letting & Property Management – Part B course is aimed at those who have been working in the letting industry for some time or have completed the Scottish Letting and Property Management Part A. It aims to expand on issues covered in Part A and in addition expands on some of the trickier aspects of dealing with tenancies.

The next Scottish Letting & Property Management – Part A course will be held in Glasgow on Tuesday 28th April and bookings are now open.

The next Scottish Letting & Property Management – Part B course will be held in Glasgow on Tuesday 12th May 2015 and bookings are now open.

The courses will also be held in Edinburgh in October and November this year, with full details available on the ARLA website.
