Changes to Landlord Registration
Following public consultation in 2018, the Scottish Government is introducing changes that will require landlords to declare whether or not they comply with specific duties. This will supplement the general declaration about compliance, and will provide local authorities with more helpful information to help them decide whether a landlord should be approved or not. Subject to the Parliamentary process, the change will come into force on 16th September 2019.

Scottish Tenancy Deposit Academy

SafeDeposits Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership once again with Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS) to present the Scottish Tenancy Deposit Academy. 

This course for letting agents provides a wealth of information for those dealing with the intricacies of managing tenancy deposits. It will cover tenant communication, deposit protection, tenancy deposit disputes and adjudication. As well as providing practical insights and advice the session will count towards 4.5 of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for agents.

A light lunch will be provided at all courses.
