Scottish Letting Day 2023

After a long four years without Scottish Letting Day, the annual flagship conference from the Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) made its grand return this year at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

As the largest letting professional gathering in Scotland, the event saw over 700 delegates, guests and exhibitors convene for a day of networking. 47 exhibitors attended the event to promote their services and answer any questions from landlords and letting agents.

As partner of the event, the SafeDeposits Scotland team reported for duty with stands representing both the scheme and the SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust. It was a great time to chat with the many landlords and letting agents who approached us, and answer any questions they had about tenancy deposits and alternative dispute resolution. We received plenty of positive feedback across the board, with our customer service in particular being praised, including our speedy response time and our helpful and friendly customer service team. We handed out around 500 SafeDeposits tote bags containing information about the scheme.

The SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust also had its own stand for the first time. The Trust recently passed the £1 million milestone in grants given and many stopped by, keen to learn more. 

Marketing Manager Alan gave a presentation all about the Trust, outlining its goals and what has been accomplished so far. Meanwhile, Head of SafeDeposits Scotland Mike Smith joined John Blackwood, Chief Executive of SAL, for a live Talking Deposits session. Our online sessions have been popular, so this was a great opportunity for any questions relating to deposits in a live setting.

The return of this sorely missed event was a great time for all, and we eagerly look forward to next year's conference!
